2017 Georgia Ports Authority - State of the Port


As Creative Director and Producer at Blue Voyage Productions, I spent a decade collaborating with the Georgia Ports Authority on their annual State of the Port, a live event recapping the GPA's year for 1,600 key stakeholders including shipping lines, politicians, union leaders, and logistics industry partners.

Our yearly communications campaign produced individual videos covering economic development, infrastructure, key partnerships, and future plans. Those videos became the spine of the State of the Port itself. Blue Voyage produced the dynamic graphics and presentations for the CEO's keynote, integrated the year's video work into the live show, and shot the full event for broadcast to the online audience.

The format was part TED Talk, part PowerPoint, with segments presented by GPA C-suite leadership and federal and state politicians offering context on current and future investments at the port.

In 2020, COVID pushed us outdoors and stripped out the live audience. I pitched a "Gameday vibe" mirroring a college football broadcast, which kept the production socially distant, kept the content on schedule, and landed culturally. It won a Hermes Award for originality.
